About Chef Ashley
Discovering her passion for the culinary arts at Cornell University, Ashley was led to Paris where she received two master’s degrees: one from Columbia University, in French Cultural Studies in a Global Context, as well as her Master 1 degree in “Alimentation et Cultures Alimentaires” (Food & Food Cultures) from La Sorbonne in Paris. Before working as a personal chef, Ashley worked under world-renowned savory and pastry chefs, from Pierre Hermé in Paris to Chef Josiah Citrin of Melisse in Santa Monica.
Ashley’s focus slowly shifted from working in restaurant kitchens to the more interpersonal and dynamic work as a chef to individuals and families. Ashley has been named one of the best private chefs in LA by Tasting Table (article below photo).
Ashley derives much enjoyment from conversing with clients to create menus that reflect their tastes and personalities– as such, no two menus are ever alike. From the first canape to the parting pastry, every course is exemplary of the personal style and whim of the client. Please contact Ashley to discuss future events.
